I've done so many variations of this shot with so many different people that it's probably getting old... but is it really all that bad to recreate something you like?  It's my favourite pose and my favourite style of image that I will probably keep coming back to it every so often for the rest of my life as a portrait photographer.

I got one disdainful comment on this once, saying it looks disturbing (like a funeral).  A side note:  I tend to give my creative portraits that aura.  I have a huge infatuation with the concept of mortality... so though I know this person meant that comment to be a bit insulting, I took it as a compliment more than anything
